Fishing

Here on Cape Breton Island, our main sport fish is the "Atlantic Salmon" which can only be fly fished. We angle for Atlantic Salmon on the world renowned  Margaree River, The North River, Baddeck River, Middle River, Cheticamp River and numerous other rivers.

We fish for rainbow, speckled and brown trout on various lakes, rivers and streams throughout the island. Trout fishing can be done by fly or spinning gear. Saltwater fishing is also available year round, trout included.
